Geometric artist Kap Allan, born in Mechelen in 1953, mainly works with wooden blocks with which he makes colorful abstract composites. The artist is looking for freedom that goes hand in hand with letting go of emotions by looking for the profound properties of basic forms and by making use of the color and nature of the material. Thus arises a geometric rust, a redistribution and an ordering of the interpretation of an environment.
